Also, consider EARLY VOTING!!
IT IS QUICK, EASY, and can be done when YOU choose!! EVEN ON A SATURDAY!!!
Almost all states allow ANYONE to early vote! do google the name of your state, + "early voting" and find out how and where. (verify it is CURRENT 2010 info, by selecting only in past few months in google returns)

Typically, one EARLY VOTES at their local courthouse, BUT, that can vary.
Bring photo ID, govt issued. FIRST TIME voters may have add'l requirements in some states, call ahead or google your states ID requirements.

EARLY VOTING takes FIVE MINUTES!!! You walk in the courthouse, cast your ballot, bam! DONE!
Usually, this is offered Mon -Fri, and most Saturdays from now til election, but again, that can vary.

some places close early voting during lunch hours, some don't.
WISH ROCK THE VOTE and ELECTIONLAND and VOTE411 would ALL encourage and EDUCATE about EARLY VOTING and wish they would ALL post some more EARLY VOTING info! It is HARD to get to polls after getting off work, picking up your kids, and standing in line for hours. EARLY VOTE! EARLY VOTE! EARLY VOTE!!
