How are you going to make the law worse if abortion is already legal... therefore YOUR logic makes no sense.

I have changed my name, I just didn't think about my registration until election time rolled around. I wonder if I took my marriage license with me to the polling site if I would be allowed to vote? Maybe I'm just out of luck this year. :(

If you put a pro-abortion candidate in office, then you have no chance of law being changed toward pro-life...or laws could be changed for the worse. Your logic does not make sense.

Even a banner, on Homepage, that reads "EARLY VOTING IS EASY!! TAKES FIVE MINUTES! Learn more {here}." with a link advising them to google their states name + EARLY VOTING.
The link, prominently displayed (maybe blinking, ha ha!!) could also give some basic info, like *ANYONE* can early vote in most states, tell them to verify where/when/to early vote, check out if the early voting station closes for lunch (some do!) and EMPHASIZE SATURDAYS are typically available to early vote, etc etc etc.

MAKE IT APPEALING!! LET THEM KNOW?

Yes, that is true, but go look at the ElectionLand homepage. Nothing.
NOT EVEN ON THE LIST of choices on the side menu on homepage.
    Not a word.
AND EARLY VOTING IS SO SO SO IMPORTANT to those who work/have kids/etc. ESPECIALLY in Indiana.
Try working in another precinct than your polling place.....you get off at 5:30pm...pick up your kids....zoom across town, and BAM, you are out of luck, it is 6:01pm.

Yes, the polls DO open at 6am, but with school kids, that is NOT an easy option for parents, either, AND the 6am line is daunting, absolutely NUTZ, a mile long. You WILL be late for work, or have to skip your kids breakfast that day.

I am just passionate advocate, having missed out on casting my vote in the past, cuz i had to work late (Indiana closes polls at 6pm!!!?) and i know i am NOT the only one that has happened to. (i did not know ANYONE can early vote, i'd heard of it, but thought one had to have 'some excuse' to cast an early vote.)

Because i do think EARLY VOTING *is* a little known option, that IS widely available in most states, and is SO SO SO EASY, SO SO EASY, i just think it ought to be trumpetted from the rooftops.

i just wish places like ElectionLand,--- which IS so often turned to, so powerful in educating people about how to vote------would really Hammer 'EARLY VOTING' into a lil more prominent area, and PUSH early voting as a viable EASY option.

You'd probably be surprised how many people think early voting requires a note from a doctor, airline ticket, etc etc. I'm not kidding!! Or--how many people have NEVER EVEN HEARD OF IT, nor realize HOW UBER EASY it is!!! Takes five whole minutes, whenever YOU feel like voting!!

HOW COOL IS THAT? And so many just do not know.

To be fair, we do have it listed prominently in the right hand Election Center. It says "In-person Early Voting? Early voting starts 29 prior to Election Day and ends at 12:00 noon on November 1st."

We are working on a more prominent display now.

Most people can be encouraged to locate their own early voting info for their state by googling their "state name + early voting 2010"

...***IF*** they realize THERE IS THAT OPTION of EARLY VOTING!!

(People---be sure you put in 2010, or you might get 2008 info..)

    WOW!!! Thank you!!
I would imagine, posting links to EACH AND EVERY precinct in USA would be daunting, and very very difficult if not impossible...

BUT, even a banner on home page, educating these young parents and working people they DO have the option to find their own early voting info, if only they realized they should go google it.

Most americans CAN locate their own states early voting info with a quick google, IF they realize, ANYONE *can* early vote. (well, in almost all states, anyway.)

but, prominently encouraging the working families to early vote--it takes 5 minutes/no lines!!------would be a wonderful wonderful help for so many people who just don't know, they too, could early vote.
Also, besides early voting being a great idea for those with littel ones in tow, or the working person, early voting is such a great idea for seniors, who often can't stand in line for hours like everyone else can.

THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!!
